Services
As
a sponsor of SAC 2006, the CROUS de Dijon at Bourgogne University
is coffering SAC attendees discounted luncheons at the University
Cafeteria from Monday 24th to Thursday 27th. At 5.05 Euros per
lunch, CROUS de Dijon lunch menu provides an entrée, a
main course (a different plate will be provided each day), dessert,
and coffee. SAC will provide complementary lunch tickets to
attendees who would like to have lunch at the Cafeteria. The complementary
tickets will be handed in the cafeteria by a SAC staff member
as you come in for lunch.

SAC
2006 Local Arrangement Committee has arranged the
following optional local excursions for SAC attendees. Please
read the details with regard to minimum and maximum numbers of
participants for each tour, cancellation policy, and registration
deadline. The tours are:

To register for one or more excursions, please complete this
registration form and fax it to the number on the
form. The deadline is extended to March
15, 2006.
Please note that the travel agent will send information
about Excursions status and confirmation by the 30th of March.
There is a minimum number of participants
required for several Excursions to be offered.

Reservation
SAC
2006 will be held in the City of Dijon, France.
The local organizing committee has secured a block of rooms for
SAC attendees at various hotels in the city. This is in an effort
to offer attendees options to select from. The list of hotels

Upon
examining the list and deciding your options, please complete
the Reservation Form and fax it to number on the form. To guarantee
your reservation, please fax the form before February
28, 2006 (Firm Date). Once your reservation
is confirmed, the local committee will send you a personalized
file including a map of your hotel and accommodation voucher to
the hotel present at check-in. The reservation form is available

Please

Special
bus tickets will be provided to SAC attendees at 1.7 Euros/day
allowing participants to go anywhere in Dijon.


Dijon
is strategically located to the south of Paris (350 Km) and to
the north of Lyon (180 Km). There are several possibilities to
arrive to Dijon:
By
plane
There is no international airport in Dijon. Participants are encouraged
to come to Paris or Lyon and then to take a train or rent a car.
Paris Charles de Gaulle and Lyon Saint-Exupéry airports
are the closest international airports to Dijon. Please check

Daily TGV connections:
- Paris < - > Dijon: in 1 hour 35 minutes, it costs around
100 Euros (return included)
- Lyon < - > Dijon: in 1 hour 30 minutes, it costs around
70 Euros (return included)
- Lausanne < - > Dijon: in 2 hours, it costs around 75 Euros

Inside
Dijon
It is very well linked to the Dijon downtown and the campus by
bus. The bus network is considered one of the best in France.
- 18 lines during daytime
- 6 lines in the evening
- Over 900 stops throughout the Dijon area
- Pick-up every 6 to 8 minutes on the main bus lines
Ticket, pass or card to choose
- The one way ticket (0.9 Euro): Sold on board by the bus driver,
this ticket enables you to travel on the network for one hour,
from the moment you stamp it.
- The one-day pass (2,70 Euros): This ticket allows you to travel
for 24 hours on the network once stamped. It is available at the
Dijon Tourist Board and the bus station located Place Grangier.
- The Week Card (7,60 Euros ): This card allows you to travel
on the whole bus network during one week.
Visa
Information
For
traveling to France to attend SAC 2006, please allow extra time
for travel planning. Attendees visiting France should check be
particularly aware and careful about Visa requirements, and should
plan travel well in advance. ACM will assist attendees of SAC
2006 in this matter. Please direct your questions regarding visa
matters to Ms. Elizabeth Grove at grove_e
(at) acm.org. If you require a visa memo, please send your
name, mailing address and fax number to grove_e
(at) acm.org, and for those with accepted papers, please
include the title and all authors of your paper. Ms. Grove will
assist you in providing visa memos for attending the conference.
Please note that it may take several days for a visa memo to be
sent out after it is requested. Please plan accordingly.
