To
facilitate your travel to SAC 2008, this page provides valuable
information about local excursions, hotels, travel agents, visa
memos, transportation info, food services, and other information.
As
you plan your travel, please check the information provided on this
page. Please note that the local committee has designated an official
Travel Agency (RD VIAGENS E TURISMO) to help you and facilitate
your travel arrangements.
One
important notice is that the airport is about 20 km from the conference
hotel (Vila Galé). There is no public transportation service
(buses, trains, etc...) from the airport to the hotel. The local
organizing committee strongly recommends that all SAC 2008 attendee
use the Transfer Service provided by the designated Travel Agency
(see Reservation and Transportation below). The Agency's
passenger transfer prices is the same as using common cabs from
the airport to the hotel.

Visa
Support Letters
The
Association for Computing Machinery does not issue formal invitation
letters for visas. However, it issues Visa Support Letters. For
visa support letters, please send all requests to Ms. Ashley Cozzi
at acozzi@acm.org with the following
information.
1. Name and
mailing address as it appears on your passport
2. The
name of the conference you wish to attend
3. Registration
confirmation number
4. If
you are the author of any papers accepted for the conference, please
provide the title
5. Fax
number
Please note
that Visa Support Letters are not issued via email.
Attendees
should plan their travel well in advance. Please allow one month
for the letter to be received, especially for overseas requests.
