Over the past years, the ACM Symposium on Applied Computing (SAC), the primary SIGAPP Annual Conference, has become a primary forum for applied computer scientists, computer engineers, software engineers, and application developers from around the world to interact and present their work. Each year the event is organized as a number of specialist tracks on various areas of computer applications. The Tracks define the conference theme each year.
All papers are subject to blind peer review. Each paper is reviewed by at least three reviewers with expertise in the subject matter of the Track. A Tutorials Program is also part of the Technical Program. Experts are invited to submit proposals for Tutorials to share their knowledge and expertise with SAC attendees.
SAC 2012 will be hosted by the Microsoft Research - University of Trento (Centre for Computational and Systems Biology) and sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group on Applied Computing, Provincia Autonoma di Trento, and Riva del Garda Congress Centre. The conference will be held in the city of Riva del Garda, at Riva del Garda Congress Center, form Monday March 26 to Friday March 30, 2012.
The next conference will be held in Coimbra, Portugal, March 2013.
