1. Visa Information

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) does not issue formal invitation letters for visas to attend ACM sponsored conferences. However, ACM can issue a visa support letter. For visa support letters, please send all requests to the Office of SIG Services at supportletters@acm.org. Please be sure to include all of the following information in your original email:

1. Your name as it appears on your passport
2. Your current postal mailing address
3. The name of the conference (ACM SAC 2017)
4. Your Registration Confirmation number
5. If you have any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title and indicate whether you are the ‘sole author’ or a ‘co- author’

All this information is necessary, and omitting any of it will delay the issuing of the support letter. Visa support letters are answered in the order they are received. You will receive a PDF letter by email within the 4-5 business days. Please note that ACM does not fax visa support letters. The PDF serves as a signed electronic version of the original letter which will be mailed to your current mailing address. If you do not receive the letter by post mail on time for your visa appointment, please print out your PDF letter and take it with you.

3. Travel Information:

Arrival via Casablanca City:

Casablanca airport, known as Mohammed V International Airport of Casablanca, is located south-east of the city. Many flights from major European cities arrive at Casablanca. Royal Air Maroc operates direct flights from/to Montreal, New York, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
From Casablanca airport to Marrakech

To reach Marrakesh from Casablanca airport, you can use train. The train station is located at the lower level of the airport. You need to buy one ticket to get to the local city train station in Casablanca (called Casa Voyageurs). Then you need a second ticket to reach Marrakesh. The tickets cost is around US$13 for second class and about US$20 for first class. The trip takes about 3 hours.

You can also use local flight from Casablanca to Marrakech with Royal Air Maroc.

Arrival via Marrakesh Menara Airport

Marrakesh airport, known as Marrakesh Menara Airport, offers direct flights from/to major European cities and some other countries. The airport is located 10 km from downtown Marrakesh. A taxi to downtown Marrakesh is about 15-20 US$. Ask the driver about the fair and agree on that before you start the trip.
